MARINA DOCK HANDS
The Town of Mount Desert is seeking applications for Dock Hands to work at the Northeast Harbor Marina. Responsibilities include telephone/marina radio communications, handling dock lines, providing general information for visiting boaters and tourists, and other duties that involve working on or around the shorefront. This is a forty (40) hour per week schedule, with day/evening/night shifts.
Applicants must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
The Dock Hand positions commence on or about Memorial Day and extend through Labor Day and beyond. Wages start at $11 per hour or higher, depending on experience.

MOORING RENTAL AGENT
The Town of Mount Desert is seeking applications for the position of Mooring Agent. Responsibilities include directing incoming transient boaters and yacht clubs to appropriate moorings with daily collection of mooring rental fees. Applicants must provide their own boat, motor, and fuel, as well as a boat based VHF and hand held VHF radio. The selected applicant must provide proof of liability insurance.
The position of Mooring Agent starts on June 21, 2008 and extends through September 13, 2008. Hours of operation are from 8AM-8PM, seven days a week. Application deadline is March 31, 2008.
