This buildout was created based on population growth rates over the past 60 years, and on existing zoning for each of the four towns. For example, an area with half-acre zoning would allow up to 2 buildings (including existing buildings) per acre. Other zoning characteristics were also factored in, and no new buildings were allowed on wetlands, steep slopes, and conservation lands. The black dots represent both existing and new buildings.
