Many have moved off island because of high land prices
Reduced taxes might alleviate problem, but land/house costs are too high for new buyers
Business Opportunities in Otter Creek:
Open to having businesses along Rt. 3, might not be space for them, would have to convert houses
Might not have enough residents to visit stores, but campers could take advantage of them
Would not want it to negatively impact residential qualities
Opportunities for cottage industry

Less Town Bureaucracy, could easily reduce services & therefore taxes
- should contract out for snowplowing, etc, reduce town staff
- eliminate trash pick-up
- have own recycling program, including composting, could possibly even make money
- combine services with other MDI towns more
Connector Trails
- biking to Seal Harbor along Rt. 3 extremely dangerous
- potential to connect Otter Creek to Seal Harbor over ANP land
- already fire road there, but it’s not maintained by park, crosses shooting range
Street Lights
- want them in certain areas where walk at night, currently bulbs need to be replaced, fixtures repaired
- support changing them so that they would only shine downwards
- support eliminating those that are unnecessary
