Jordan Pond Road is closed to through traffic effective April 2, 2024

Jordan Pond Road is closed to through traffic effective April 2, 2024 for repairs to an historic Carriage Road Bridge.

The closure will likely be in effect until early June. Until April 15th all traffic accessing Jordan Pond House or the segment of Jordan Pond Road north of the bridge work will need to detour onto Stanley Brook Road.

The segment of Jordan Pond Road south of the bridge work can still be accessed by residents and local deliveries from Route 3/Main Street. After April 15th, additional access to Jordan Pond House and the Park Loop Road will be available from Route 233/Eagle Lake Road.

Numerous detour signs have been placed around Town to alert travelers and delivery vehicles of the closure and detours. Please see the alert on the Acadia National Park website: https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
