Reinstating Vehicle Registrations For Re-Newing Vehicles due by June 11, 2020

Vehicles registered in Maine with an expiring or expired registration must be registered (renewals only), by June 11, 2020

Gov. Mills announced on Wednesday, May 13th, that residents have until June 11, 2020 to renew their vehicle registrations.

Reinstating Vehicle Registration Requirements: (renewals only)

Within 30 days of the effective date of the Order (May 13, 2020), vehicles required to be registered in Maine with an expiring or expired registration must be registered (renewals only), but only if the vehicle owner is a resident of a municipality that participates in the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicle Rapid Renewal Program , or is accepting online or in-person excise tax payments through their municipal offices. Previous actions by the Governor suspending vehicle registration requirements during the state of emergency have been rescinded in part by this Order.
