UPDATE: for August 27, 2019 - Regarding Route 198 Construction
A message from Public Works Director Tony Smith about Route 198
"Route 198 improvements project: Notice - Weather permitting, we have been informed that construction of the surface layer of pavement (the final layer) of both lanes of the section of Route 198 that is under construction will be done on September 5th and 6th, 2019 as part of the overall improvements project. Traffic control signage will be put out; flaggers will continue to be used on each end of the work areas and in between the two ends if needed. If possible, and depending on where you are traveling to, we ask motorists to travel through Seal Harbor as an alternate route to avoid Route 198. The work is to be completed early October 2019".
